Why you need 6/7 Month Milestone Photography
Look-I love every baby age! I couldn’t possibly pick a favorite!
…6 months is my favorite.
I mean-I truly do love every stage of life and find them all beautiful and awe-inspiring. (I’ve already talked about how great 3 month olds are and the importance of photographing that milestone!) But there is something about 6 months. It’s the baby sweet spot. They’re still small and squirmy and cuddly and not able to crawl (usually) or walk away from you yet. But they’re sitting up and getting minds of their own and grabbing things (Oh hey! That! I want that!-a frequent thought process you see play out at this age) and are smiling and laughing and really FULL of personality and sweetness.
I typically like to wait until your baby is sitting up pretty consistently and strongly for this particular milestone session (so that oftentimes means the baby is closer to 7 months than 6). Part of the fun of this session is plopping those little dumplings down and watching them sit there and look up at you, or hold on to the edge of the crate (they look like they’re driving! I can’t take it!), or push up from a tummy pose to give you that gummy grin. There are so many fun poses to do and props to try with this age! It’s also the perfect age to really involve mom and dad-like I said, they’re both interactive and still cuddly at this age so there’s nothing better than having photos of you and your baby loving on each other. It’s priceless. I’ve had so many clients talk about what a joy it is to be able to look back and see those moments-and when the babies get older they even enjoy looking back at those pictures and seeing that love and devotion that shines through between them and their parents.
