When I first met Kate, she was only 9 days old. Typically newborns sleep A LOT. But Katie was determined to prove that wrong! Haha. Anytime I have a baby that doesn’t sleep, I usually wrap and photograph them awake because I love seeing their pretty eyes too! After that they usually fall asleep and I go about my usual workflow. The photos of Kate with her eyes open are some of my favorite awake baby images ever 🙂 She’s just perfection.

I’ve enjoyed photographing all of her milestones. It’s always bittersweet during their 1 year session because I know I won’t be seeing them every couple months! I’m so thankful to Kate’s mom for choosing me as their family photographer, and always enjoy seeing them! I wish there was a way to truly express my appreciation for clients who stick with me. So for Kate’s 1 year session, we got the giant ONE balloons, which are always super fun! And as always, her outfits were ON POINT! Love love love! And she was CRAZY about her cake! I think I spend more time laughing during the cake smash part then anything else. It’s just so fun! Please enjoy some of my favorite photos from Kate’s 1 year session:
