I absolutely love what I do, and I love getting to know my sweet clients as they entrust their newborn into my care for a couple of hours! Marianne is the very talented Photographer over at Black Box Photography – she does newborns as well! To say I was a little nervous and intimidated would be an understatement. I knew I had to bring my A game! Thankfully, Faith was a super star baby and slept the whole time and let me do all of my usual workflow poses and then some! Her parents chose to upgrade their package to include a film as well, which I will post below! I think you’ll love it! Always brings a smile to my face when I watch it <3 

Marianne also had some wonderful things to say about their new little family:

“Our sweet baby girl, Faith was adopted. We waited for her for a year and half and overjoyed to have her part of our family. We went through some ups and downs, but we knew God was in control and that He had a plan and that plan would be far greater than ours. We love to just spend time with our families and we love to travel so we look forward to the day that Faith gets to experience more of God’s beauty.

When we found out that we had a match, we were beyond excited. We were also a bit cautious because with adoption nothing is a guarantee until things officially go through. But as the days went on we felt better and better that this could be the baby we’ve prayed for. We also only had to wait two weeks before her arrival; which helped with the waiting.

When I got the call from our adoption agency, I immediately hung up the phone and called Scott while he was at work. He was super excited. However, we were matched three other times before this birth mom so we were still cautious with our emotions, but couldn’t help but be thrilled for another opportunity.

I’ve waited for this day for so many years it’s hard to say there is only one thing I love about being a mother. It’s all still so surreal that she’s ours. Holding her in my arms, watching her sleep in the crib that we’ve waited to be filled and awaiting the day she speaks and calls me mom. I’m soaking all of it in. I know it’s cliche to say, but I love everything about her! Probably my most favorite part are her big blue eyes. They are stunning. Scott has blue eyes and I’ve always wondered if we had a child if they would have his blue eyes. It’s funny how things happen.

We are so happy we opted for the film. We’ve watched it over and over again and will cherish this forever. We are so grateful! Being a photographer myself, watching Faith’s newborn session was amazing. Sitting back, relaxing, and getting to be a client was wonderful. Amanda had everything prepared and under control. The flow of the session was seamless and was perfect in every way.
