It’s been 2 years since we signed some paperwork that means something to the government and made promises to each other about the future! Woo! It feels like we’ve been together forever (in the best way!) and I can’t believe how fast time goes by. I think back over the year, and how much of it was spent just working and hustling. The every day. The boring. But even in all that routine, my favorite part of our life is spending time with him. Sometimes when he talks, I start to drift off in thought about how grateful I am to have him and how attractive I find him, only to realize I don’t remember the last 5 sentences out of his mouth! Oops!

He’s such a problem solver. I give him an issue that I’m having (recently it’s been how to get my yoga pants to stop smelling musty – which btw, is a huge problem for a ton of people on the internet! Google it, it’s a crisis) and he researches the crap out of it, figures out the best way to handle it and then takes care of it for me! Same thing when I had my tonsillectomy. If it weren’t for him, I would have shown up that day, had the surgery and come home thinking I could just order take out and be good to go. Ha. That would have been a disaster. He had everything ready: Popsicles, ice cream, soups, applesauce, gatorade, he organized my medication taking times and  made sure I stayed on top of the pain. It’s silly, but any time you have to go under anesthesia, you have that little bit of “what if I don’t wake up?” fear… at least I do. So when I started waking up after the surgery, my eyes still blurry from the medicine, I remember looking up at the ceiling tiles and trying *so* hard to get my eyes to focus because I wanted to be able to see his face clearly when he came back to see me in recovery. He’s everything to me.

And so I look forward to what is up ahead for us this next year of marriage and to keep building on the years we’ve already had together! Happy Anniversary, Brian!
