This adorable little squish belongs to my sweet friend Kayle (she was a guest blogger earlier discussing her personal experience between having an OB for her first baby and a Midwife with her second). You can read that post here!

I was SO excited to photograph these amazing people! Don’t they make the cutest kids? I wasn’t sure how James would do since he’s 2 but honestly, it went just fine! He thinks I’m funny generally, so I use that to my advantage. Also, the photo of him looking skeptically at his sister cracks me up to no end. Such a perfect representation of suddenly becoming second fiddle to this new being. Thankfully they get along great now and James is smitten with his baby sister!

And can we talk about how gorgeous Kayle is? I mean WHOAAAAA. She used to live in NYC while she pursued an acting career. I know, right? Amazing. She’s now an avid baker and shares recipes she’s tried and tested on her blog! You can find those recipes here!

Roses are her favorite flower (if you hadn’t figured that out by the name) so I knew we were going to do something with roses! I love how the composite image turned out! I took 1 photo of a rose in the same light as a wrapped photo of Baby Rose on a red blanket so I could easily put the two together seamlessly and have it look as realistic as a baby in a giant rose could be.
